$0 Down USDA-RHS: The USDA Rural Housing Service has various programs available to aid in the development of rural America. Funds are available through community facilities loans, home ownership loans, rural rental housing loans, home improvement loans, and more.
$100 Down FHA Loans: Large down payment requirements have made homeownership a challenge for many otherwise qualified home buyers. HUD’s latest announcement includes a $100 down payment on HUD homes. Seller can contribute up to 3% of purchase price towards closing costs.
City of Austin DPA up to $10,000: City of Austin Down Payment Assistance is available to first-time home buyers who will be occupying the property as a their full-time principle residence. Qualifying criteria will require you to earn no more than 80% of your city's median household income. Applicants will be required to complete pre-home buying courses. Bond 77: Bond 77 is providing $500 million in tax exempt mortgage revenue bonds and sponsored by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) looks to be a viable new source for first-time low and middle income homebuyers to secure financing on primary residences. It features below-market interest rates OR (not both) down payment assistance grants in the form of second mortgages. Seller can contribute towards closing costs on behalf of buyers.
